The agreement between you and spelvi. We've kept it as readable as legal language allows — plain summaries lead each section.
By creating an account or using the spelvi apps or website, you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use spelvi. If you're using spelvi on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for it.
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use spelvi. Provide accurate information when signing up, and let us know promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use spelvi for your own language learning. You agree not to:
spelvi offers a free tier and an optional Pro subscription. Pro is billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play and renews automatically until cancelled. You manage renewals and cancellations through your store account; cancelling stops future charges and keeps Pro active until the end of the current period. Refunds are handled under the relevant store's policies. Prices may change with notice; changes never apply to a period you've already paid for.
Some features let you create content — saved word lists, notes, recordings. You keep ownership of what you create and grant us only the limited rights needed to store, sync and display it back to you. Don't use spelvi to upload unlawful, infringing, or abusive material, or to attempt to disrupt the service for others.
spelvi, its name, the highlighter-“s” mark, design, software and original content are owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These terms don't transfer any of our rights to you beyond the licence to use the app.
spelvi includes public-domain books, matching audiobooks, and links to news articles from third parties. Those works are provided under their own terms; we don't claim ownership of public-domain material and aren't responsible for the accuracy of external news sources.
spelvi is a learning aid provided “as is” and “as available.” While we work hard on accuracy, we don't guarantee that every definition, translation, pronunciation score, or AI explanation is error-free, or that the service will be uninterrupted. spelvi is not a substitute for professional or certified language assessment.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, spelvi and its team won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory local consumer law.
You can stop using spelvi and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms or use the service in a way that risks harm to others or to spelvi. On termination, your licence ends; you can export your data beforehand.
We may update these terms as spelvi evolves. We'll revise the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use spelvi after an update means you accept the revised terms.
